The Melrose Public Library and the office of City Chairman Paul Brodeur organize the annual diaper drive, which is shipped out a month in advance. A diaper campaign organized by the city and coordinated with MelroseWakefield Clinic will soon ensure that families in need in the region have access to free diapers.
Melrose Chairman's Office had its second annual diaper drive, and it was praised by city leaders for collecting more than 1,000 diapers and wipes for local families in need.
Diapers and wipes were collected from the community last month, and the collection will continue until December 16. According to an explanation released by the city on Tuesday, the collected goods will now be distributed to local families through a series of community events at MelroseWakefield Medical clinic.
For this week, Brodeur said, "Diapers are vital to the prosperity of babies and tiny children and, unlike recipe, are a fundamental requirement not covered by government assistance." We are glad to work with Melrose Wakefield Clinic to meet this demand.
Clinic for Critical Care Medicine at Melrose and Wakefield Administrator of Local Services Eileen Dern thanked participants in this year's diaper drive, saying the clinic's volunteers value their generosity.
