S Club's first new single in 20 years honors late bandmate Paul Cattermole. Cathy Dennis, Simon Ellis, Johanne Ellis, and John Nathaniel wrote the song.
The Sun said that the pop quartet had not intended to record new music for their reunion tour later this year. After Cattermole's tragic death in April, plans changed.
A source told the tabloid: “It didn’t look like S Club were ever going to make music again but Paul’s tragic passing has brought them closer than ever. Grief has united them”.
The source said, “The single has been written by the same team who were behind the majority of their number ones. Fans will quickly recognize it as S Club.
“It sounds like a classic that will slot right in with their old tunes,” they added. “It's about remembering Paul's greatness and the video was very emotional for them. It honors him and S Club's incredible career.
The reunion tour originally included all seven S Club members. Hannah Spearritt canceled the shows after Cattermole's death.
The October tour and new track star Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Bradley McIntosh, Jon Lee, and Tina Barrett. Universal Music is producing the music alongside the five.
